This announcement marks a hugely significant milestone for Alchemy in Victoria. Since our founding in 2015 we set out to build a progressive, modern construction business – at the top of its class – hustling hard in a very crowded competitive market and we are so proud of where we now find ourselves.
We are delighted and honoured to appoint Andrew La Rocca to the role of Managing Director of Alchemy. In a hugely important development for our business Andrew will succeed Jamie Nicolson our Founder and now Executive Chairman.
An incredible development for us, Andrew joins us with significant experience in the construction industry. In a career spanning 20 years, Andrew has obtained broad exposure across many sectors within the industry and brings true end-to end experience spanning business development, tendering, project establishment, design and operational leadership – most recently leading at a very senior level in the Tier 1 space in Australia for the last 5 years.

Founded in 2015 by Jamie Nicolson and Sarah Anne Munro, Alchemy now employs nearly 100 staff in Victoria, delivering some of the Victorian States most important social infrastructure.
Speaking about his recent appointment Andrew said: “I am hugely excited to join Jamie, Sarah Anne and the Alchemy team to lead a true construction industry disruptor into its next phase of growth. I’ve watched the Alchemy story from a distance with a huge amount of respect for Jamie and the team and I’m now beyond proud to be joining in such a pivotal role and at such an important time in its growth trajectory. I look forward to working with a talented team and an incredible group of existing clients to take Alchemy to the next level.”
