Fixed Lump SumLibrary upgrade breathes new life into Dandenong South Primary School.
Our team had the pleasure of completing works to the Dandenong South Primary School library. Works included construction of a new entry, stairs and ramp to address Accessibility Code compliance and improved the overall access and circulation to the busy library operations.
The internal construction and refurbishment involved new wall and ceiling linings, formalisation of general learning areas, new meeting rooms with acoustic treatments, and a “messy activity” area with resilient flooring and wall treatments for ease of cleaning and maintenance. The entry has a new and lush vertical garden green wall that the children can tend to – it provides inherent benefits to the internal air environment and an overall sense of wellness.
Works were completed externally as well and entailed an outdoor learning facility by extending the deck area, providing a flexible break-out space with shade sails for the protection of outdoor gatherings.
A nearby pavilion was also added to the scope to complimented the School’s outdoor play and learning spaces.
