Rix Road Early Learning Centre

An exceptionally finished design at Rix Road – the stuff that building dreams are made of! When you see the finish and architectural detail in this project, it is truly stand-out.

To plan this design, CohenLeigh Architects built a miniature model to confirm that the multiple radius and the curvature on the structure would be possible.

From there, the design was pushed to the limit to compute and detail the individual members for fabrication of the screen. The screen was fully fabricated by our talented friends GB AMOS Metal Engineering and was broken down into sections for transport.

Laser cutting then took place on the flat arches and bending at multiple radius’ to fit the screen. Multiple cranes were required to connect the sections of the screen during the erection process. The project was finished with kiln dried spotted gum battens and soffit lining.
