Big Housing Build

The largest social and affordable housing building program in Victoria's history

The Big Housing Build is the largest social and affordable housing building program in Victoria’s history, ensuring more Victorians have a place to call home.

We are proud to be partnering with Homes Victoria and the NH Architecture team, to deliver 54 modern, energy efficient social dwellings at Ormond Road, Geelong.

The project plays a key role in a wider commitment to increase social housing by 10%, with 10% of the work undertaken by apprentices, cadets, and trainees.

Social procurement, gender equality and sustainability are at the forefront of Alchemy’s build, delivering long-lasting positive change to the East Geelong community, while establishing a new standard for social infrastructure.

Designed to 5-star Greenstar requirements and 7 NatHERS star rating, the final build consists of a mix of 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom, 3-bedroom and DDA units, with sustainable solutions embedded alongside quality design.

Public transport options, amenities, schools, and public open spaces are all easily accessible from the site, fostering community and neighbourhood interaction.
